This young chap has gone through three years and two court cases only to be finely cleared of rape, whereas the accuser remains unidentified and free to carry on with her life with no 'there's no smoke without fire' comments made against her.

The woman said that she "woke up" on top of him, which may mean that he manoeuvred her there, or maybe she sort of cooperated while half-asleep and not aware of what was going on, only to recognise that she was being coerced into sex as she regained proper consciousness. Or whatever. It doesn't matter, since the man in question has been acquitted -- but it doesn't at all stand to reason that the woman being on top means that it cannot have been rape. All that is required is lack of consent (and lack of reasonable belief of this).
