I just broke up with my soon to be 17 year old girlfriend.
We had to end it over facetime as she is on the other side of the world.
I don’t think we are that quite over yet, and it’s just the distance that killed us.
In a couple of weeks it’s her birthday and i want to give her a present, because she still means a lot to me.

You gents have a present in mind for this odd situation?

Well if she is on the other side of the world, it cannot be something too big. I would just settle for a card with a lovely message.
A micro scooter in her favourite colour to help her move on.

Have you ever actually met Face to Face?
flowers? Easily arranged worldwide. Not too many, though, you're an ex, not a current boyfriend.

Glad it's not just me that thought this.

Yes, sorry for not adressing. She was my girlfriend for 6 months back home but she had to leave abroad for study. After a while the lack of connection killed us.
Are there any home comforts that you could send that she might be missing, obviously light on postage, durable and complying with any rules about what can be posted to her wherever she is. Or if something can be ordered via the internet and delivered, which might be easier.
I like the idea of a modest bouquet of flowers with a friendly message. I am kind of dubious about the "distance killed it" thing though. When I met my late husband, he was a cadet in the merchant navy and I was at college away from where he (and I) lived. It was the late 60's and there was no internet...no texting...no mobile phones, skype, facetime and so on letters were few and far between because you can't post stuff off a ship and ship to shore phone calls were prohibitively expensive and hard to arrange. We married in 74 and had nearly 40 happy years together....so maybe not blame the distance? maybe its time for you to move on?
