I have had a Zanussi washer dryer for 4+ years now, gets all kinds of abuse!! Its fine, no problems at all (fingers crossed) Would def stick to the more expensive makes though.
My daughter has washer dryer, and I sometimes iron for her as she works long hours,,,However I refuse to do the ironing if its been through her W/D it's screwed up beyond belief,My son had the same problem with his..Maybe expensive ones are better ...I have separate ones ( bosch) and my things hardly need the iron.. Good Luck
I don't think most of the washer driers will reliably dry as much as they wash. Put this together with the fact that if you're drying you can't start another wash and you can see that they're probably not the best option if you get through a lot of washing.
If you've limited washing and limited space probably a great option
With regards to Bosh I bought a cheaper end drier from them and when I got it home slashed my hand on it, the drum had slipped in transit exposing sharp edges. When I took it back I discoverred that Bosh had taken over a Spanish company to make lower end driers and they basically weren't as good.
I bought one of the more expensive German ones and it's been bullet proof for 6 years with huge loads. As I say it was 6 years ago but look carefully at the big brands some cash in on their reputation to sell inferior goods at cheaper prices
I had one and the dryer side went wrong as was not working so had to replace whole thing even though the washing machine was ok. Daughter's went wrong in reverse ie. washing machine side went down and the tumble drier side was ok.
I've had a Hotpoint washer / dryer for 5 years and i've had no problems. As long as you can wait to use the dryer after the washing machine then it should be ok.
