Looking For A Basic Cheap Sat Nav

Mt new Fiesta has a built-in SatNav, as part of the radio, but compared with my Garmin, its a load of pants. I can set a postcode into my Garmin in about 10 seconds, but the Ford version in the car takes at least 5 mins, running through sub-menus.

I would repeat my advice to try before you buy. The various maufacturers have their own idea of the best screen layout/menu system etc and some will suit you more than others. For example, I just don't get on with Garmin but I like TomTom. Mikey is clearly over the moon with his Garmin. You can only find out by trying them in a shop, then buy the right one.

Incidentally, ours is also called Gladys.

ZM – in using my satnav, the police would have to prove that I was distracted in using the device; whereas the police would only have to prove that those using the smart phone app had done so.
