a lead to connetc my ipod to the hi-fi

hi i have just bought a cable thing to connect my ipod to my hi-fi (stereo) and it is made by logic but it does not appear to be working
there is 3 parts to it one of which i put into were the earphones usually go into ipod and the other two were i plug my speakers into . but no sound comes out . what can i do ! i got no instructions plus they have no website :-(

My old hi-fi didn't have the necessary connections either so it may be you don't either?
The speakers stay where they are but if you don't have the 2 other connectors for the 'line out' it simply won't work I'm afraid!

You don't plug it into the sockets that the speakers are usually plugged into -- these are the sockets that the hifi outputs sound to.
Your hifi may have some "aux" imput on the back too, probably phono sockets, that you can plug the iPod cable into. Then choose "aux" on your hifi and you should be able to listen.
Finally, if you've unplugged your speakers as you say in your question, how do you expect to be able to hear anything?!!
