I bought something off someone on FB at about 8pm and the the seller has just sent me proof of postage! I am so impressed, I had no idea post offices (wether proper branches on in local shops) stayed open so late. Although I might be easily impressed as we only have a mobile post office three times a week for 1 1/2 hours each time. I bet I'd be gob smacked at progress if I still lived in Aylesbury or Milton Keynes.

Ours doesn't stay open that late. It closes at 5 or 5.30.
Some City Centres now open until 11pm
Did the person send it through Hermes or similar rather than the Royal Mail?
Anyway, it's good service by your seller.

It's been sent by Royal Mail - he sent a photo of the receipt. I only paid £2 for the thing I bought (a Lego minifigure) and £1 for post.
We have a sub post office in the local village shop. it sells just about everything and is open 5.30am until 10pm...I was amazed. Here someone has been running a Facebook site called Freebay, you can't sell anything on it but you can use it for anything unwanted that you want to give away... I put a rabbit hutch on when we lost the rabbits. It went within about an hour and the person that picked it up was so happy with it. It's a great site for people with very little that have just moved into their first home... I think it's great and now all my unwanted stuff will go on it.
