Strictly - Week Eight

Spoilers for anyone not watching live and it is likely that the dance off result will be posted when it is available online, well before the dance off tomorrow. Who else is watching and who do you think will be the celebrity not heading to Blackpool next week?

Okay so Ruth was never going to be good enough to win, but look at what Kevin is achieving with Susan who is not a natural dancer either. Anton has lots of other projects, including his album, going on, and he must be focusing on his career after Strictly particularly now he's a father of twins. Ruth would be right to feel let down by Anton

Very fair then at least this week. I guess people are maybe more conscious of voting for who they want to stay in just after a shock eviction.

I think Anton may have had his day. I've never really been a fan.

Kevin has helped Susan come on. She has been doing really well from how she was originally.

Yes it was time for Ruth to go but I think Anton should be on his way too he hasn't taken it seriously at all this year. Pleased that Susan made it through but I'm afraid her time must be close. I am amazed at the improvements of both Davood and Joe who started as total non dancers and are now really good. I hope they both go far.

I'm so surprised about Anton, I never realised he was just prancing about really and no celeb was ever going to win with him, I'd say if he's in it next year the celeb that gets him will do right not to get their hopes up or else kick him into place, I first seen him on a program where he was in a school showing children how to dance ballroom, a kind of Billy Elliot project and that was when I first liked him and his partner, they did good work, I judged him on that ever since, I'm very disappointed with him now seeing the comments here.

OH watches it, and I watch bits of it when the people or dances that I particularly like are on. I Loooove the tango, whoever's doing it.

I thought Alexandra Burke was amazing.

If I lived in UK I would vote, my sister votes, as good as Alexander Burke is ever, I can never take to her. I usually agree with her as to who she thinks is good or improving

I vote every week Jo - rarely for the ones at the top of the tree but for the ones that are improving week by week. Some of the judging this year has been really strange I think

I agree with you margo and like you were saying up there, Davood and Joe have really come along well - I was surprised to see him on top of leader board last night, I had written him off a while ago

I've noticed before on Strictly that if the celeb gets a good score one week, the next week they don't, no matter how well they did. I loved Debbie again this week. I actually watched Alexandra's dance three times, I loved it that much ! So impressed with Davood too and I wasn't going to watch this week either after Aston went !!

I do vote sometimes, but not all the time. There does seem to be a lot of up and down with some of the contestants this year.
