Is the DM Codeword not a crossword grid with all white tiles numbered? If so it's possible that 'seedbed' is correct for KaralD's first question (other thread) but there will be others to complete.
Or is it me that's lost the plot?

Seedbed is the down word. The word going across from it is sorbet
1 = s
10 = e
25 = d
14 = b
Across word is 1 5 15 14 10 7
So 15 = R and 7 = t
