8 weeks! Good Lord. How on earth did you cope with that? I thought a week was a long time. Make sure you rinse your mouth regularly with salt water. This will help the healing and minimise infection.x

when a friend of mine got his done, his menu consisted mainly of soup, ice cream, mash, and Slim fast shakes.

depends how your tongue was pierced. If you had done some research and got it accupierced you could have been eatint tonight. I reckon other piercing methods would be about one week. Good luck!

I did get mine done about ten years ago, so things have probably changed now!

I had to wait about a week, mainly because my tongue was SOOOO huge and swollen that I couldn't have gotten anything in barely. You just need to remember to swish with the solution that the piercer gave you at your appt. Infection sounds like it would be gross and horrible so I would definately swish after eating anything.

ive been using warm salt water after everything i eat/drink just to be sure, and then morning/evening.

oh and yes i did discuss it with the piercer about the swelling but i dont think i asked how long it would be before you could eat, just wanted to see how long it took people on here.

got mine done in 95 i think it was. swelling took about a week to go down. was hank marvin for some proper bait so made a nice spag bol. and prompltly nearly choked to death wen a bit got wrapped round the stud and ended up dangling down my throat.
