Buying Tv Shows.

I'm on BTTV and quite often buy TV series. I watch on a Samsung Full HDTV and have the choice of buying SD or HD programmes. I have bought both and can't really see any difference. Would you spend more on HD, it adds up when buying a complete series.

If you can't see the difference, just buy SD

Just what I wanted to hear HC, I am quite severely colour blind so don't always know if it's just me.

It depends on the size of your TV (I wouldn't bother with HD for anything under about 40") and the quality of the original recording - for instance, there's not much point buying a series from the 70s (say Dad's Army) in HD - it wasn't made to that standard.

Otherwise just go with your eyes - if you can't see the difference, save your pennies.

clear as a bell if you have a big tv, theres a vast difference, sd on a big tv is dreadful

Intersting Erik, I have a Samsung 49 inch ultra HD TV and struggle to see any difference on TV shows I buy online. Maybe my colour blindness is the problem.
