For some reason my PC has gone into safe mode. I have no idea how to change it. I'm a bit dense when it comes to computers. Any help would be appreciated x

1024 x 768 is quite a low resolution more like that of on old Windows XP display I would check what video card the computer actually has and what driver is installed I suspect you have a mismatch or a faulty video card unfortunatel y the same make and model of computer can have different video cards and so different drivers so unless you can access the manufactures...

I did Update Driver and got a message saying that this driver was the best driver for the PC. There were other other options Like Rollback Driver. There was also a window update which I clicked on hours ago and that's 95% installed. So I guess I'll wait and see what that brings. I'll let you know if anything changes. The screen is just the same :o(
Just because Windows indicates that the driver is correct is not necessarily so but that’s another game so assume for now that it is correct and hope it’s just a screen resolution problem
Right click on the desktop and select “Display Settings”
You will see “Scale and layout”
The size of text is probably set to “100 Recommended”
The resolution should be set whatever is the “Recommended” for your system (mine is “1680 X 1050 Recommended”) this is where you can adjust the resolution to get a better display, by adjusting the resolution (in your case) upwards
Start by incrementally selecting a slightly higher resolution until you have a satisfactory display unless you see a “recommended” display available and select it, see how you get on.
Orientation should be set to “Landscape”
Some usual resolutions are
19-inch screen 1280 x 1024 pixels
20-inch screen 1600 x 1200 pixels
22-inch screen (widescreen) 1680 x 1050 pixels
24-inch screen (widescreen) 1900 x 1200 pixels

Hi Bertrum. The size of text is set at 100% - Recommended. Resolution was at 1024 x768 - recommended. I've changed that to 1280 x1024 (there is nothing higher than that ) The text is now smaller and looks better but all the picture are still "stretched". Do you think a trip to the PC man might be in order?

One thing to try is to go back into “Device Manager” select the “Display Driver” and select “roll back driver” in the hope that you have had an updated driver that is causing the problem
