Are Strictly Come Dancing Viewers Racist?

We had this accusation at the beginning of the show when a black competitor was voted out and now it seems to be happening once again.

Was there any need for the dance off because the Judges made it perfectly clear who they would vote through to the semi finals even before the two couples took to the floor?

Have to say this - watched Alexandra in a little excerpt supercalifragilisticexpialidocious - yes I can spell it - but really think she was much better than Gorka her partner. Her legs swung much higher than his etc.

I only watch it for the music and the costumes and the dancing in general. In no way is it a proper competition. I don't watch the results show. I am sad to see some competent people go who have never danced before in favour of keeping Debbie McGee and Alexandra in the show.

I thought Davood did extremely well in the dance off and should have stayed, but I do like Alexandra and love watching her dance. I personally don't understand why people don't like her, she's just herself, bubbly and full of fun - we're all different aren't we ?? I do not think it's racism at all. I want Debbie to win and I could not care less that she could dance in the past, I just love to watch her and Giovanni together.

Entirely agree - but since no non-white competitor has ever said, or even hinted at that suggestion, I am not sure why you are making it a point - ?

To be honest, I think either Joe or Gemma will win (the only 2 who haven't been in the dance off) because Joe Public likes to see a 'journey' of those without extensive former dance training. For this reason, I don't think either Debbie or Alexandra will win.

But many 'older' ladies watch Strictly and will be voting for Debbie - they can identify with her more than Gemma or Molly.
