What is making you think that perhaps your car might fail an MOT. ?
Just because you are in possession of an MOT Certificate from almost a year back doesn't mean your car is fit to be used on the road. It was only roadworthy at the time it was tested. Things can go wrong very quickly and it's no defence to say 'I didn't know the car was unsafe to drive when it's got an MOT certificate'.
I'm only going by the advisory on last year MOT it's passed 2 years with the same advisory, so
Hans there's probably a lot of unfit cars on the road in that case.
People get up to all sorts of dodges to get a vehicle through the MOT. I have known some change the tyres to get a pass, then put the old tyres back on to sell it 'with a 12 month MOT'.
Hi fruitsalad....Please take note of what has been said by hc4361 and it will be interesting to see how you reply to bhg481.
Incidentally, I have an exhaust pipe on my 14 year old Seat Leon which has been held in place for the past 4years by a twisted welding rod and the car keeps passing its MOT.
