Spouse is in a different County, cats have been fed and are sleeping, Dad is reading and I don’t watch Eastenders.

Catching up on Pointless, with spouse too, kids are long gone off on their own, except when Bank of M and D needs to open. Never seen more than a couple of minutes of Ostenders when my mother was still alive, couldn't understand a word spoken, same reason I couldn't bear that Fools and Horses thing.

Mrs B is late night shopping in Crawley with a couple of friends, Eldest son, collecting some fresh clothes, etc, then sleeping a few nights at girlfriends place....think he's currently playing Fifa 18 with his brother in the games room. Eldest daughter still up at Uni in Bristol...breaking up for Christmas break till Mid January next week, so here shortly, Youngest daughter out with friends swimming at David Lloyds .....Me....multi-tasking, as usual .. FB'ing, Twittering, Skyping occasionally, making phone calls, checking/answering work/leisure emails and messages, as have busy schedule of Christmas parties in the next couple of weeks ...only off today and tomorrow night...seeing new Star Wars Episode 8 movie on Wednesday night late, after a gig.

So answer, nailit, is that I'm pretty much happier when I'm doing loads, including occasionally looking in here, see what's occurring. :-)

It seems that a lot of people reading this don't actually have a spouse (or kids) present at the mo.
When I was ''another half'' and I spent any time on the internet (while my other half spent time watching telly...which I cant stand) I got the ear ache of been told that I was selfish etc. Just curious as to how other ABers get on with their partners while they debate/chat here on AB?
Just bloody glad that I'm single now.

My wife is watching EE , I am on here, I can't stand Eastenders or any other soap.In fact I would rather not watch TV at all most of the time.
In summer I sit out in the garden and read a book rather than be in a room with a TV set in it.

Spouse is doing his own thing, kids are doing their own thing (going stir crazy after the weekend and a snow day with another snow day tomorrow), recording of EE clashed so will watch it later on W - have 'watched' (have it on but don't pay it 100% attention) since it began, it's a habit.

Nailit, we chat all the time, if she's here, and whilst I'm getting on doing my tasks, she's happily chatting away to either me, or one, or more of the kids...she's American, and loves talking so much, that if there was a Olympic sport in it, she'll finish up in the medals!....watched two David Attenborough programmes last night ( Blue Planet 2 and Jumbo the Elephant Documentary) back to back ..and said how amazing he is....she likes playing word search games on her mobile too. If I have to make a phone call or Skype, I either do it in the room we're in, or if I know am going to be a bit long, go into another room.
She just texted me that they went shopping in Brighton instead, as later shopping hours there tonight, and are just finishing an Italian meal.
