Had it done today. The thought of it was awful, but the actual doing was not as bad as having a filling. Maybe later, if I'm in agony, I might change my mind ;)

well done

I think you are a star .....

They sliced through my gum to get the the root of a tooth that's causing problems. I have a few stitches in there, that should dissolve in a few days.
Ah- googled. Well done... :-). Are you dribbling?
Question Author
Thank you Peter, I feel like I'm a star as well.
Question Author
No dribbling, no pain, no taste of blood. Can't eat much at the moment though, unless it's very soft. Can't have a wine, either, they've given me antibiotics ;(
Dribbling no more than usual I should imagine ;-)

Doesn't sound pleasant Rocky, swill with whisky on a regular basis, swallow as required.
Well done, bet you are very relieved to get it done.x
Lol eccles:-). And they gave you an antibiotic you can't drink with... insult to injury really.
Are you sure you can't have alcohol on your antibiotics? People often say they can't drink because they're on them. It's only if it says on the packet that you really 'shouldn't'.

Dentists often seem to like metronidazole. That would make you very ill with drinking. I think they do it on purpose :-)
Question Author
Clover, I've been given metronidazole. Many years ago I tried a drink the day after I had finished a course of them, oh jeez, projectile vomiting ensued. So, I'll be giving the vino a swerve for a few days.

I might be dribbling later when the famo are eating a nice marinated fillet of salmon for their dinner, and I'm having soup!
I think you need at least 48 hours after you finish the course.
A friend had that done, Rocky.......I visited her with a gift of a jar of Bullseyes Boiled Sweets........ ;-)

I'll have to wait until Tuesday to get ratarsed.
