if you are somewhat disabled does that not go some way to approach the local council.

emmie I've never really enquired with the council but I don't think fibromyagia is considered a disability or arthritis for that matter, although how I feel some days it should be, thank you for the link Tilly.
fybromyalgia/ arthritis might be, its worth a phone call to the council, what's too lose. tell them you need a pass and see what they say.
I suspect that you would need to be eligible for a blue badge to get the bus pass before normal qualifying age but no harm in contacting the council to check it out
"which in my case will be 66"
Nah ! When you are 66, they'll have moved it all to 72.

Thank You for link Mamya

And just found out I can get 10% off my shopping on a Tuesday at the
Co-op
I didn't know that Fruitsalad. Thank you.
Is the co-op discount nationwide? I can't find anything about it.
cheap seats at local theatres?
cheaper seats at the cinema?
Some of our local garden centres offer 10% off for over 60's on certain days.
Question Author
Pasta sorry I'm not sure if it's nationwide, but you do need to show your membership card.
Do you have a partner? You can bus and rail travel passes if you or your partner are old enough to qualify. Also if your partner is old enough to get pension credit he/she can claim as a couple and get it for both of you.
If you lived here in Wales, you would now be in possession of your Bus Pass......not sure about the rest of the UK though !
My local fish and chip shop does a senior citizen meal, fish chips or pie and chips for £2.85 instead of £4.50 , you just need to be over 60.They don't ask for proof just ask for a senior citizens meal.
The same in Scotland mikey. Bus pass at 60 here. The £30 a year senior railcard is brilliant. We take the train to Edinburgh, return costs us £5.70 for a 60 mile plus round trip
