Has anybody been asked for £4.50 for a copy of the RADIO TIMES this week my wife was and was told that the barcode said £4.50 the assistant knew that the correct price was £2.50 and took that amount saying all the copies would have to be taken off the shelf.

Some mags to a double issue near Christmas and charge double the price but it's too early for that surely?
don't buy it and its too early for a Christmas edition which might cost more.
10/12 December for the Xmas Radio Times.
Is it an additional charge and the extra goes to Children in need?
surely not ^^
Vulcan, I don't think it would be lawful to impose such a charge.Giving to charity is voluntary.
The price printed on the front is £2.50. Perhaps there was a mistake on that particular store's barcode coding.
This is the Christmas edition,
