My friend wants to get out and socialize more, but whenever he asks someone to hang out, they always say no. I'm really worried, because he's talked about suicide because he's so depressed. What can I do?

Encourage him to join some groups on subjects that interest him to meet others as a start.

A visit to the Doctor to discuss his low mood would help too.
