My Cat's A Terrible Thief

Our cat/kitten is lovely but he's such a thief - in the last week or so he's stolen crumpets, brioche and pain au chocolate. Today we came down to find his footprints in the (spreadable) butter. It's not even food that smells tasty - I'm having to put all the food that's normally out (bakery stuff) in a carrier bag in the garage (but he is lush - even though he's scrammed my finger in such an awkward place that I have had to take my ring off and it's really swollen - and I've had to take one of his Christmas presents off him because he's spread cat nip everywhere and it's given me hay fever).

LOL, little git's aren't they. Hay fever, sherr, I'll bet your cuddly thieving little git is as high has a kite.
Love em but they are little *** Sher. Next door has a 9 month old kitten, he steals tomatoes off the table and bats them around the kitchen...He's such a hunter, nothing is safe in our gardens :o( xx

My two are older, the male is so laid back and no trouble, he'll catch something bring it to you alive and then just lets it go. The female is the ultimate Diva... such a pain.
If he's full of catnip, no wonder he's stealing every bit of food he can get his mucky little paws on.
He has the Munchies :o)
He seems quite a good thief to be. Leaves evidence in the butter though.
ME !!!!!!!
We had a guest cat (Norman, yes honestly) who nicked a bit of smoked pork sausage and batted it around the kitchen until he lost it underneath the dishwasher. It was a pain to retrieve that!
It's part of their job description, opportunistic thievery.
Brice our youngest is a terrible thief too!! will knock food off the counters to the dogs and then steal something for himself!!
WE have just learnt to put everything away for the little ***!
God love them though

I cook every meal with him between my feet - I'm going to fall over him and break my neck. We all love him but he's taken over the house :)
Great to see you ferlew
Oh they do that Sher... Our female adores the OH, she never leaves his side. If he goes to the loo she sits outside crying.
Caspar has rediscovered the cat-joys of swiping feet....grrrr
Sits outside crying?
Sits outside - I have 4 watching me and one actually jumps into my arms whilst I am sitting on the throne!!
That best moggy/dog cat I ever had used to love being walked draped around my shoulders...he weighed a stone+.
Oh dear Islay...I think he draws the line at letting her into the throne room... He spoils her rotten and wonders why she's so needy. Wow, pasta... mind you if I wont let her on my knee she jumps on my back and climbs over my shoulders ! I'm not really a cat person, we inherited our two
Got attacked by one many years ago. Was in the bath ( still at my parents house then ) and unbeknownst to me one of my mom's thieving little furball gits was asleep in the airing cupboard ( in the bathroom ), it was the summer so I had the window open. The little git woke up and jumped out of the airing cupboard saw that the bathroom door was shut but the window was open, she then jumped on to the side of the bath ( heading for the open window ) but half way along the side she slipped and fell into the bath with me !, she went barmy and used my body as a ladder to get out of the bath and up on to the window ledge and jump on to the shed roof below.
I looked like I'd been attacked by Freddy Kruger ( scratches all over me and I mean all over me ) I was off out after my bath on a hot date !.
Cats then eh?
