why are nipples rude?
9 Answers
no one can tell me the answer to this. why is it that if you wear a tiny bikini with visible nippleage that's ok but if you don't wear one and are showing areolas (is that the right plural?) that's rude or offensive or something? for example in magazines when they star out the nips even though there is loads of flesh on show and everyone knows what it's hiding that's ok. on that note why do they **** out swear words when everyone one knows what f*** means? i have way too much time on my hands don't i?

I thik its something along the lines that bare breasts are not accepted in public, yet it is accepted to show deep cleavages, the underneath of breasts and the sides. So at what point does one saythat the breast bare. And I think its that point when the nipple is exposed.

There was a lovely picture in yesterday's (Wednesday) Evening Standard of three models at the Vivienne Westwood V&A show. The story was about them smoking, but one of them, India May's breast had risen from the confines of her gown and the nipple was boldy peeking out. Unfortunately I couldn't find the picture on the web-site :(
Mine are sensitive and erogenous and very definitely become erect when stimulated. I'm a hairy bloke with all the usual "bloke" things. So it's ok to have my nipples on display when the warm weather comes or when bathing, but not so for women. I have never understood this but just accept it as a polite convention. The female boosoms as a whole, and their twisting and squeezing into contortionist bras has long been another convention for the gratification of a certain male mindset. Logical it aint.
