Mixed feelings
4 Answers
My cousin who's the same age as me got married a couple of years ago, and has just announced that she is pregnant, and although I'm happy for her I feel a bit sad and a tad envious, as I'm still unattached. Although had things gone to plan I would have been getting married this summer, but sadly my fiance passed away.
I just feel really guilty about being envious, am I wrong to be feeling this way? How can I overcome my feelings of sadness and just be happy for her?

Rather than look at it like you are and ingoring your own blessings, perhaps you could focus on the good things that you have (or even both have). You have a cousin who is happy and is about to become a mum, and a potential new addition to the family.
I can't say what you have as there is not enough info, but I am sure there must be plenty of positive things in your life, even though it isn't marriage and children, yet.

Hi butterfly - what a beautiful name to choose. I am sorry about your fiancee, sometimes life deals us harsh blows, and the way you are feeling is perfectly natural so please don't feel guilty. When this little person arrives in the world I am sure you will take so much joy from being a part of his/her life and these feelings will subside. I am certain your day will come, you will find the right person for you and if you want to have children you will. For now just sit quietly in your space and accept these feelings, and then let them go out into the universe and ask for them to be replaced with feelings of love and joy. You will be fine. Much love and light - Amara xx
i know exactly where you are coming from. When my sister announced she was pregnant, i was frankly devastated, and felt really grumpy for a week or so! I knew she was always going to have the first grandchild, and that would be very special for my parents, and it really really rankled!!!
I got over it wioth time, and started to be really excited for her though
