A very gentle introduction to this year in the two puzzles we have been treated to.

It did not take much to recall that there was only one wartime bandleader who for certain played in Airfield Hangars last week and there wasn't exactly a plethora of lighthouses to choose from on the tip of the peninsula that would fit the clues in this week's offering.

Dare we hope for more of a challenge in future episodes?

Hi F. Yes agree the most recent offerings have been disappointing - they haven't been taking me much beyond the first cup of coffee. I'm sure the puzzles used to be longer, more interesting - and harder!
