I heard on the news ND has said he has retired. He will not be performing again in the future as he has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
He will continue to write and record songs though.
What a loss, such a great artist.

Yes it is sad news a long and great career, my late Husband drank with him a few times at the Waldorf.

Travelled to Belfast last November to see him live, couldn't believe his stamina. he was 76 (77 yesterday ) but was on the stage for nearly three hours without an intermission or break. He was always one of my favourite singers and I felt a little dubious that he wouldn't be as good, mainly due to his age, as he used to be. Within a minute on stage I knew he was not only as good, he was better. Thank you Neil for all the great music.
