I want to make a steak pudding...possibly steak, mushroom and onion. Looked at a few online recipes and most suggest boiling/steaming for 3 1/2-4 hours.
Any recipes that have a shorter time?

The longer the steam or boil, the better and juicier the pudding will be. I'm old fashioned and don't like cutting down SOME things to modernity. It doesn't work in some instances imo.
For a pure steak PUDDING steamed or boiled...imo it has to be suet pastry...nowt else will do. Don't do quick...do long and slow, you can surely taste the difference. Well that is, if you have discerning taste buds lol.
