Contractions started more or less as soon as waters were broken last night. Very painful and I was on gas and air almost constantly.

I had an epidural and syntocinon was commenced and I drifted off to sleep. At 5:50am all hell broke loose and they couldn't find baby's heartbeat. A clip was inserted and attached to baby's head but still nothing. I've never seen so many people rush into a room at once. I was whisked into theatre for emergency C-section and baby was bofn at 06:14am weighing 6lb 7oz.

Since then I've vomited half my body weight, breast fed and baby has been sleeping like a trooper.

My internet signal is dire.

JJ...what a good question, I would have thought that 2-3 days in hospital would have been routine......it is major abdominal surgery.

JJ, they discharged me because I was doing well and I was mobile. Once I was out of bed and standing independently, they took my catheter out. All in all I've made good progress. I was very sore and tender first thing this morning though.

LB, he's got maternal and paternal traits. He's awfully cute ♥️
