do rough sleepers go on in this weather? Ive had my heating on since 4oclock and I am still having to cover up with a quilt and hot water bottle. (I have got a cold though)
Ive slept rough in the past but that was in the summer, not in this weather.
Small charities like the one I work for have been greatly and negatively affected by the economy. Money, grants, big bucks, are hard to come by. Consequently, paid staff numbers have gone down, and volunteers up. And it's frequently 2 steps forward and three back. It sometimes seems impossible to find reliable volunteers who realise there is hard work involved, and that they cannot pick and choose what's needed to be done. But it is what it is for the foreseeable future.
also presumably whether you volunteer or not, if you are acting in a professional capacity, you need to carry insurance. I know Occupational therapists do if they are working professionally even if they are not paid.
