my sister took out a mobile phone contract with t mobile for my partner (now ex). My partner set up an internet transfer for the payment to go across to my sister bank account, the trouble is my ex keeps going over the set monthly amount and i have to keep chasing her for the money. Does anyone know if my ex can set up a Direct Debit directly with T mobile even though the contract remains in my sisters name? Thanks in advance.

Yes - TMobile just want the money. They don't care who it's from
Your sister can request a transfer of ownership from t mobile as long as she inform the person who is using the phone! I had to do it and they just send a form to the person using the phones home address and they have to sign it and it comes off your sisters name and onto the other persons. The only thing t mobile did used to ring me quite a bit for payment on the tranfered handset but i used to quite calmly tell them that it had been transferred!
