At the risk of shocking/offending the AB community, I'm trying to find out what is the current "going rate" street price of cannabis, if possible - not in fact for my own benefit, but simply because I've recently discovered that a brother-in-law is smoking cannabis regularly, and the figure I've been told he spends on it seems astronomical to me. Is there a generally similar "street-price" in most areas of the UK, or does it depend like so many things on "market" availability, region etc..? Also, does something in the region of £100 per week for a single smoker seem even remotely correct ?
£100 per week sounds plausible to me.
I have a friend and I know he buys £50 of the stuff every Friday from his "friend".
Apparently, the more you buy, the cheaper it gets, so my friend buys 1/4 oz for £50, but if he bought an ounce, it'd cost £150.
I'm just glad I don't smoke ......
Tommy....not being a drug user, I can't really answer your question, but don't forget, most cannabis users smoke theirs. A packet of ordinary cigarettes would cost at least £10 a day, so work it out !
A lot of money in your eyes perhaps .. he earns about 2k a month and has enough to feed his habbit and enough to pay his rent. Food is pretty low on his requirements .. he is in a bit of a state. Really sad to see him wasting his life for weed.
Douglas .. if you only have a pound all you will get is an energy drink !
When I was drummer in a band, after about a four hour stint in a sound proof recording studio rehearsal room (you could still smoke inside at the time), cannabis was technically free (Bloomin' guitarists what are they like ;-) I'd be leaving high as a kite on some days, passive smoking at it's best. I didn't know it was that expensive these days.
I didn't mean to make light as it is a pathway to stronger and harder drugs a really good man and fantastic Musician (Guitarist not the same one in my above post) passed away a few years ago because he progressed down the path of taking stronger and harder drugs.
