How Many Kidneys

Son just discovered he only has one kidney....and asks where is t’other? I dont know how many kidneys I have.

Do you have proof of how many kidneys you have?

I only know I have two, Tambo following tests to be a donor.

My granddaughter was born with three and that was discovered before birth during a scan......

I doubt, as a person can function well on one kidney, that it would be possible to know other than by scans etc...that's a guess.... :-)

Most people have 2; I have three, discovered by X-ray when I had pain. In reality one kidney is normal and the other is known as duplex because there are two ureters from it which join together outside the kidney.

They checked my son's at his 20 week scan.

Well somebody nicked one of mine 9 years ago, so I hope I have at least one still there.

No one has more than two legs or arms, but some have only one or none at all.

The average number is therefore less than two.

You'll have no luck, Nailit....my son tried to sell his daughter's spare one to my husband......the doctors weren't amused.... :-)
