'The program started in 2002 or earlier and was disbanded in 2014.
The NYPD spied on at least 20 mosques, 14 restaurants, 11 retail stores, two grade schools, and two Muslim student associations in New Jersey alone,” Farhana Khera, executive director of the group Muslim Advocates, told reporters in a conference call on Thursday.
The program “never produced a single lead,” Khera also said.'
In a twelve-year period they must have spied on dozens, possibly hundreds of folk and not one lead was produced.
It's cost them more than a million dollars in legal costs and damages for this one case alone, with nothing to show for it.
If they're looking for terrorists, do you really think they did a good job and should have been aĺowed to carry on?

THECORBYLOON , you haven’t answered my question, but that’s no surprise. Nevertheless, I’ll answer yours. Regardless of success rates, no, I wouldn’t be criticising our police for keeping mosques etc., under surveillance. My safety and society’s security takes precedence over anyone’s foibles, religious or otherwise. Doesn’t yours?
