No, but if you had it would have been somewhat different to what you meant.
The Reverend W A Spooner, spathi. Look him up and you'll see what JD is getting at. (Clue: among many other "Spoonerisms", he referred to Queen Victoria as "Our queer old Dean").

Don't encourage him Jack.
You have tasted a whole worm
You have hissed all my mystery lectures
So you must leave Oxford tonight by the town drain.

But back to the question, I too cannot understand the fascination with Facebook and kindred applications. Quite why I should need to be constantly in touch with friends and family is beyond me. I have a landline phone, I have a mobile phone (though few people know the number and it's rarely switched on) and I have an e-Mail address. More than adequate for anybody (who I wish to do so) to contact me should the need arise, which it seldom does. I think there is a "law" which says work expands to fill the time available. I think this can be extended to FB: "unexpurgated drivel expands to fill the airtime left on one's contract".
in trainspotting 2, the "choose life" monologue has been updated for the facebook generation. it's somewhat critical of modern life.
Parkinson's law, NJ.
I use it all the time but I’m very careful not to post personal details. I find all the ‘here be dragons’ warnings quite funny.
Spoonerising is bird watching.
Facebook is brilliant. My daughter was in Oz for over two years, before that she was in Ireland and after in London. She video called my every other day completely free.

She works in recruitment and the only social media they're allowed is facebook.

I'm with Zacs, ummmm and others on this: Facebook keeps me in touch with family and friends I have ever met who I still wish to know.
Also in contact with my local football team.
It has issues certainly (I'm not going to give it my phone number, than you very much, or any other details I don't wish to post there) but I reckon I benefit more than I lose, and as long as that continues I will keep using it.
excellent, Hopkirk.
"She video called my every other day completely free."

Why? What on Earth could you find to talk about every two days? I ring my sister once a month and we both struggle to fill five minutes. Anyway, can't you do that by Skype?
NJ - It's a mother daughter thing
A male wouldn't understand
Fair enough, Baz.
Similar to ummmm, when my son was in Japan without a phone or money, Facebook was the only way I could keep in touch with him. He used the the free-to-use rickety computer in his hostel.
‘and we both struggle to fill five minutes’

Mmm.
