Optical Prescription
11 Answers
I've decided to try an on-line optician using my specsavers prescription. The trouble is I don't understand which numbers they want.
I know what the 'Sph', 'Cyl' and 'Axis' mean but they are asking for only one set of numbers.
You see, there is room to put only one set of numbers in for each eye but my prescription has two sets of both for both eyes.
Granted the 'Cyl' and 'Axis' numbers are the same for the right eye and the same (different ones) for the left, but for both eyes I have two different ones for the 'Sph' category.
I know that these readings are for distance and near (because that is exactly what it says) but again, which one do they need?
Anybody been through this?
