For AZED you must have a Chambers (the big red book), preferably uptodate. For odd words a Bradfords Crossword Solvers dictionary is invaluable, for all crosswords not just AZED. (Having been doing Azed for more years than I care to remember, there was a first today when I had to look up a word in a German dictionary to confirm the answer to 24d).
