Two further examples from the same setter:
Wild reactionaries ignoring (*) scene of missile attack (3-2-3)
Grotesque body-snatcher - (*) deaths dismissed for Labour leader (6)
In both examples the only anagram indicator appears at the start followed immediately by the main fodder. The letters to be removed from the fodder ('deaths' and 'scene' respectively) don't appear in the correct order so require a second anagram indicator (at the asterisk) to fairly signal that a compound anagram is involved.
