Robot Lawn Mower

I am thinking of buying a robot lawn mower, a Husqvarna 105. All the literature that I have so far read emphasises the positive aspects of a robot mower, but I wonder if there are any negative aspects. For instance, can a robot mower be left outdoors in all weathers? Can a robot deal efficiently with fallen, dry leaves? Does a robot have to be kept in a shed or garage in winter? Have any ABers had any experience of robot lawn mowers, and would they care to share their experiences with me?

Thanks for the link, gingejbee. The article certainly makes a robot lawn mower look like a good buy. I want a robot because I am fed up of spending 2 hours every 10 days or so on pushing my conventional mower around. I am now 78 years old, and it's the frequent stops to empty the grass box that are making me really tired. Actually getting a robot is quite easy: I just order one, the dealer comes along to set up the boundary wire, and so on, but I need an outside socket to plug the robot's charging station into. But getting an electrician to come and install the socket is proving to be a real headache. I have contacted 5 so far, without success. But I have a long list of electricians, so I'll keep trying. I really am fed up of emptying that grass box!
