How To Dispose Of Odd Bits Of Silver And Gold.

I seem to have collected bits of gold and silver like rings and chains, some whole, some brocken. Various rings which for some reason have had to be cut off from their wearer. Also some jewellery which I don't know if has any value. How can I dispose of these. Can I just take to a local jeweller and ask them to do so? Any ideas?

You sell it to them, don't give it away. Most jewellers will buy gold if not there are stalls and places where that is all they do. It doesn't have to be a lot, just weigh it and sell it x

FF, I had my weddinRing cut off a few years ago, broke my finger and swelling meant it couldn't be cut off, nothing sinister.

I would use a few local jewellers to get prices. Don't us ethose Cash for Gold postal services that used to advertise on TV- I tried them and they offered me about one tenth of the value

Nothing sinister about the rings being cut off, unfortunately they were all for medical reasons. Quite sad really. Will certainly try a local jeweller and see what they say. Thanks for the response.
