I use a Miracle-Grow feeder to feed my plants, baskets, containers etc.

It instructs me to pour 500g of plant their plant food into the feeder and then fill up with water.

Do I need to use 500g of plant food as I have plenty of feed left after I have fed all the plants etc?

Could I put say 250g in, would it still make the same mix of water and feed?

Yes, just put as much as you want it - the feeder mixes it in the correct ratio. We usually just put a whole sachet in and leave it mixed up between uses.

Thanks for that bhg481, I thought it strange because when I bought the feeder it included a small packet of fertiliser granules.
I had one of those on my hosepipe. Turned out to be a modern day Horn of Plenty. Was never known not to be full of fluid after that. Never needed to add more Miracle Grow.
OG - have you noticed that there is a 3-position switch on the handle? You can choose off; feed or plain water. Could that explain why you never need to add MiracleGro?
While it's there/full why wouldn't I not keep it permanently on feed ?
No idea how tge double negative slipped in >:-(
THE !!!
I was suggesting that the switch was set to "no feed" and you hadn't realised, hence it never needing the crystals topping up. Having said that, a bag of crystals lasts a very long time.
I think the water was getting into the feed reservoir keeping it permanently topped up. Was most unimpressed :-(
