My dinner (which was also my breakfast and my lunh, 'cos I only eat one meal per day) was salmon with hollandaise sauce and baby new potatoes, followed by a Danish pastry and a pot of tea.
A sort of kedgeree made with mackerel, and extra curry spices and a pint of Ghost ship. Ice cream to follow. Chicken and sweet potato fries tonight. Loads of salad
Your Morrison's café must be a vast improvement on ours. On the one and only occasion I used it I had a cooked breakfast which was stone cold, and I mean cold, not just luke-warm. When I asked for a cup of tea I was given a little teapot with a teabag in and told to go and make it myself from the hot water boiler.
I haven’t been able to eat much anyway after my stomach surgery earlier this year but I’ve really been getting into a wide range of refreshing salads with fish flaked onto it.
rib-eyed steak (blue) served here with watercress red onion, iceberg and chives + dressing.......delish, washed down with a Chateau Angueirouen Reserve, a little Provence number......
good idea, minky, hope you have a super fishmonger.....able to eat some caramelised scallops as we have some amazing dishes with a little crumbled hog's pudding served with some samphire, iceberg and watercress, a smidge of dressing over the salad if you can handle that.
