1951 British Grand Prix x
On the 14th July 1951, one of the cornerstones of Ferrari’s great history was put down. In the British Grand Prix, Argentina’s Jose Froilan Gonzalez gave Ferrari its first win in Formula 1.
Not querying the answers given, but does 'international motorsport' equate to Formula 1? Could it not be a wider field, such as Le Mans and the like?
A ferrari won the Mile Miglia in 1948.
A Ferrari 166 S Coupe Allemano.

Thank you all for your help. Still searching and have now come up with the Gran Premio di Roma in 1947. It says Ferrari won its first race with a car of its own construction.
