It's not Yorkshire folk in general who turned a blind eye. I am from West Yorkshire and i can tell you the vast majority are sick of it and if you could hear half the comments, language and name calling that are made behind closed doors about Pakistani muslims you would know. (They would probably be charged with hate crime if the police got wind of it). It is those in power in local councils who depend on muslim votes who try to sweep it under the carpet.

Since we're all lobbing our two bobsworth in I'll go with somebody obstructing an investigation or giving protection to the perverts has had their backhanders cut off and so has withdrawn support/protection resulting in proper work being done and the child-rapists have been brought to book.
