Trying to get my ordinary e-Mails to appear on my so-called smart phone.
Went to GMail on the phone. Added my ordinary eMail account (with password). The account appears in my list of accounts (only got two - my GMail account and my ordinary one) but despite "synchronising" no eMails appear in the inbox on my phone. Do I need to do something else? I don't want anything complicated. I just want to be able to see my eMails on my phone. I recall setting this up on my Kindle Fire tablet and it was simplicity itself.
Judge, in my experience, gmail/hotmail et al work better under outlook. if you download the outlook phone app and give it your gmail id when you start it up it should do what you want.
Thanks boys and girls. I've managed it (after a fashion) using a combination of your suggestions. I'm no slouch but I find anything to do with Android and Apps to be a complete shambles as nothing seems to hang together properly (rant over). Thanks again.
