When I arrived at work this morning HR had a received a letter of resignation from 'Smelly'. Claiming and I quote ' Please except this letter of resignation I was left with no choice but to hand in my notice because of the way YOU have been made to feel ' Why do people like this always blame other people and take no responsibility for their own actions.
She has no appreciation about the fact we had a office collection for the Boots voucher and yes, a ' Thank You ' would of been nice.
I'm personally glad that she has left, she wasn't the most popular or the brightess worker and I feel that she is using this as an excuse.
I hope she finds alternative employment and is very happy at McDonald's
Battyboy, she could probably sue for constructive dismissal, in that she was indirectly made to hand in her resignation. She has a Boots voucher to show for it, and probably a whole list of bullying incidents too, plus a few notes from her doctor from when she's been to get help for the problem.
Bullies tend to have limited intelligence, so her boss probably didn't realise this.
I think the original post about this poor lady smelling was truthful enough, but i think the following updates are complete bull. booboopoo is loving all the negative attention she's getting from making her authority up and everything else. HR would have been the ones to send her home, not some lowly little line manager. She's making it all up now folks, ignore the bullying witch.
Dicko, Batty Boy, do you think the language Booboo used about said employee was appropriate? Vile, Fat etc?
I don't think anyone was saying that this employee shouldn't have been told about the BO problem. As has been said, for the benefit of the people around them. But do you think it was okay to use that kind of language about the person. Especially when, as a manager, Booboo should be supportive, not nasty. Surely?
well i have spoken to the top guy at Employment Rights (shares a floor with me at work) and he agrees with the Constructive Dismissal but he also said that this was extremely bad practice and i think we can all agree a very bad example of a 'manager'...training required i think.
Well Said Dicko, None of us know what Booboopoo actually said! Im sure she didnt call her in to the office and say "right you fat smelly vile git, we all think you stink, here's a 10 boots voucher, now take the week off"! I totally agree with what she has done, it seemed to be the lesser of two evils. And it was the "Fat Smelly" ones choice to resign! I wish our manager would do the same here, but then we'de have no staff left!
are there really people this small minded around still??
I was kinda hopeing that all can now see past such things as race/sex/size/'smell'...
Wouldn't you have felt a better person booboopoo, if you had been the one who had had a quiet word in this womans ear & resolved the problem? or find out the reasons behind it?
I seriously hope this is some sort of a wind up coz the thought of you being in a position of power just makes me shudder :(
Also I dont believe or agree with mocking someones grammer as I aint so 'hot' at it myself but I'd have thought someone so righteous(sp?) would have more about them :(
