Has anyone out there tried this diet? It seems to be a milder version of Atkins. Anyway I thought I'd give it a go so have started this morning. I seem to have tried every diet going in the past but have been 'diet free' for a couple of years and the weight has crept on!! I do exercise and I walk alot as well, so we shall see!!

I always say "we are all on 'diets', just some of us are on bad ones".

Fancy "diets" are not the answer. As you admit, you have tried them all.

Sensible eating and mild exercise is all you need.

All food contains calories, and we need caloires to live, but if we eat more calories than our body needs we put on weight.

Just limit your calorie intake, and you will lose weight.
never heard of it, but if you put up the info on here i'll give it a go with you - everything i've tried lately leaves me losing 2 pounds in the first week, then puttingone of them back on the following week - so i'm averaging half a pound a week and feeling very disheartened! lets do the diet together and compare notes! x

Hi Nini, It,s called 'The Doctor's Diet' by Dr Michael Spira. You'll need the book. I got mine fron Amazon but I'm sure a bookshop would have it. I was like you on WW, a pound off one week and back on the next! I have decided that I'm no good on carbs and this diet limits them but not nearly as much as the Atkins diet . Anyway give it a go and keep in touch!! I survived my first day yesterday!!
