blonde or brunette?

ive been really blonde for ages and last week went medium brown...when im blonde im told i look tarty and when im mid brown i look boring....what should i do??? if it helps..imagine gerry hallilwell with really blonde or mid brown...what do you think? eek im gonna be paying about 70 quid so i need to get it right....?? i know this is really trivial after today's events with the ruskie!

I settled my dilemma by doing both,i' was blonde at the front and dark for the rest,now i'm blonde at the front and dark copper apart from couple of blonde bits at side/back!!

kaz add a red tint on top of the brown, it will soften it and also give you some nice highlights.

Tarty? How dare they! Blonde can look a bit flat if it's all the same shade, but as you're brown now, how about having a couple of different tones of highlights to liven it up?

kaz do whatever makes you feel good, i'm a brunette and staying that way, with my colour i'd look odd if i went blonde but whatever suits girl xx

I'm a brunette really but I've tried most things my favourite was all pink but it was too high maintainence, so it only lasted about 5-6 months before I got sick!!

I'm currently brunette with blond highlights for the summer, I like the colours but I feel its a bit 'boring' - I'm looking for something new too - either colour or style!!

i actually felt better being blonder. my natural hair colour is mid brown but im going really grey so there's no going back. i think i will go for gold highlights ...thanks guys....back to being tarty i think!!!! hehe

I have the same problem. I tend to go blonder in the Summer months and go darker for the Winter months. However I've just had a darker blonde shade put in all over (I think it was called 'Gold' - not proper obviously) and a few lighter bits on top. I am really pleased with it and it matches my eyebrows!

I was a blond as a child, then my hair went light brown but i started putting blond highlights in, BUT my boyfriend persuaded me to become a brunette and yes i thought i looked boring (about 4 months ago)!

Maybe it was because everyone knew me as a blondy/brown haired person rather than a proper brunette.

But a few weeks ago i went back to blond highlights with a dark brown underneath at the back. AND IM HAPPY AGAIN!
