Does the one year warranty expire one year from purchase date, or one year from the date it was delivered & installed by the supplier?

It's therefore up to each manufacturer to determine the terms of their warranty. Some manufacturers might state that the warranty commences from the date of installation but most will state that the warranty runs from the date of purchase.
Unless a retailer goes bust, warranties are unimportant anyway. Under a combination of EU and UK law, electrical appliances should function properly for a minimum of 6 years. If a fault develops within this period, your claim should be made against the retailer and not the manufacturer.
