Have you heard this term used? I heard it for the first time today in a radio discussion about Seann Walsh's treatment of his girlfriend.

there were two films. The British one with Dana Wynter was first, but when MGM decided to remake it they tried to buy up all the prints of the earlier version and destroy them. Fortunately the director had kept his own copy of the negative.
