For those that disliked the reformatted show Jo Whiley is to leave the drive show and move to the 7-9pm slot however Simon Mayo is leaving Radio 2 but will carry on with his 5 Live film show

Uurrgghh
Can the call to Fearne Cotton be far away?

You know it's what the massive brains are thinking.
Well done BBC, you messed up one of the best lighthearted programmes and now have managed to lose one of your best presenters.
Sorry to hear about Simon Mayo leaving Radio 2, always liked him and his show. Seems to be the time for change at the Beeb - do the presenters know something we don't?
Or maybe Lauren Laverne, doug
The fragrant Lauren may be too highbrow now, covering at Desert Island Discs on Radio 4.
Chasing the Frostrup fanbase? :-)
Oh God, I hope not. Knew her when she was 16, and she was as annoyingly opinionated and self-assured then as she is now!
At last, the BBC is forced to admit what everyone (and I include myself in that!) - could see from Day One - adding Jo Whiley to Drivetime was a massive mistake carried out for the very worst of reasons.

Simon Mayo is gracious enough to say some very nice things about Ms Whiley - doubtless from a position of comfort and relief that the end of his nightmare is in sight.

It is also clear to anyone who has listened even for a few minutes, that both hosts are deeply uncomfortable with each other on air, and the listenership deserted in droves as a result.

Will the BBC learn from this?

Do they ever??????????
We are witnessing the slow disintegration of Radio2. I've largely stopped listening.
^^me too. Since buying an internet radio earlier this year, we hardly ever have any UK radio station on.
Nooo. Simon Mayo was great when he did his Drive Time on his own. The Beeb have properly messed up now. Im so sorry to hear he is leaving., that is tragic, he is a very good presenter. What will we have left????
Tony Blackburn and Johnnie Walker.
