We are visiting Cyprus (Paphos) for the first time this year.Can anyone recommend any good websites to find where the best restaurants are, best trips, car hire etc.?

Don't go anywhere near bar street in Paphos. �3 breakfast and Stella - not good. Anywhere on the harbour is lovely and tranquil,and the old town is great. There are many nice trips to take in the mountains and the capital is fascinating for culture. If you can, visit the border zone where the UN patrol in the capital (esp on a Sunday) as it is amazingly quiet and eerie. All around you can see evidence of the major exodus that occured during the conflicy - with washing still on abandones clothes lines, abandoned shops with 1970s clothes and adverts in the battered windows.

Just make sure you dont pay more than 6 pounds for a taxi, they try and fleece you at every given moment! oh and they dont take euros in paphos, although im sure they do elsewhere on the island.. this was news to me!
