help with film

i remember seeing this film but i can't remember the title. in one scene a girl is tied to a chair in a motel room or something to that effect and there is a trigger where if anyone opens the door a rifle will shoot her. also a guy i think its her boyfriend goes round the back to the window and encounters a truck which i think features as a main piece of the plot where we don't know who the driver is and starts driving towards him but he can't move because his leg is impaled on something. Does anyone know what this film is called? thanks:D

Ok so i went on imdb.com and searched for Road Kill and i think i found it. It came out as Joy Ride but i think Road Kill was its UK title. It was made in 2001. It had Steve Zahn and Paul Walker in it. Thanks for all your input guys:D
