My mum has hard compacted wax. Her appointment for syringing is Tue 11 dec
She’s not too keen on the drops so I’m going to stop them until next Saturday- will that be enough time? She has Alzheimer’s so I can’t reason with her about the drops

I have the same problem from time to time and it always takes a few weeks for the wax to soften enough to be removed by the syringing. The whole procedure is not pleasant so I have every sympathy with your Mum, but it will be worth it because she will feel so much better when the wax has all gone.
Mrs B had an appointment to have her ears done the week before last.
I made it for her, asked for ears not ear. When we arrived the Gestapo type nurse said which ear is it? my response both. we don't do both anymore she said, how many days have you been putting drops in?
My response, we haven't. Can't do it at all then says she.
Why can't these people tell us what they want, I am not a mind reader.
